What is the solution for stopping snoring ?
I've been hearing a lot about the mouth piece which moves your lower jaw foward & the sea salt. I don't think my snoring is serious enough to see a doctor. Can someone tell me if they have experience with any of these snoring solutions.

Adjust your sleeping posture
Try sleeping on your side or stomach or raise the head of your bed four to six inches.
Avoid alcoholic beverages
Particularly prior to bedtime.
Avoid medication that relaxes the muscles
This includes sleeping pills, tranquilizers, antihistamines, etc.
Ask your loved one for assistance
If you sleep with someone, ask him or her to wake you or roll you over if you snore.
Eliminate congestion
Gargle with salt water and/or use a decongestant to help rid yourself of congestion. Be sure to remove any possible allergens from your bedroom as well: dust, feather pillows, etc.
Exercise regularly
Not only will it improve your overall physical condition, it will help you lose weight.
Keep your nostrils open
Try using nasal strips and/or nasal dilators to help keep nostrils open and avoid nasal blockage
.
Lose weight
If you are overweight, try losing a few pounds.
Singing
Singing helps tone the flabby muscles of our upper airways. Belting out a few songs every day for approximately 20 minutes seems to do the trick for some.
Sleep regularly
Establish regular sleep patterns and get adequate sleep

Stop eating before bed
Don't eat heavy meals within three hours of bedtime.
Stop smoking
Smoking weakens and clogs the throat.
Talk to your dentist
Ask about anti-snoring dental appliances.
Talk to your doctor
If your snoring becomes worse, ask your doctor about the possibility of using a CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure machine) to help keep breathing passages open. If that fails, it may be time to consider one of the many surgical procedures available to control snoring
oh, and may I ask.. do you have asthama??? cause a lot of people that gave asthma has bigger snoring problems~
but whether you have asthma or not, you have to make sure the air is clean from pollen, smoke etc. If you have a pet I advise you to buy a air purifier to clean up the air in your room to make you lungs free from dust and bacteria.
Air conditioner can also be a reason why you snore, cause it can make your lung tighten up, so if you have a air conditioner make sure you don't always use it~
also make sure your bed lining and pillow covers are cleaned AT LEAST once a week!!!
I really do advise you to see a docter serious or not, because snoring can get worse and snoring, if not treated properly will raise the chance for you to get lotsa diseases~.
Sleep with two pillows so the air flows easily in and out.
Blow your nose before bed.
You can also buy nose strips to help with breathing.
Sleep on your back.

Breathe Right nasal strips….they work wonders. Even non snorers see benefits because it opens up the nasal passage a little bit more.
Usually non medical remedies do not work. It is just a waste of money. I know because I have wasted a lot of money on snoring products from t v and on the shelf at the drug store. Only an ear, nose and throat doctor who specializes in snoring is a prudent method of addressing the problem.
Don't sleep.
Or buy one of those nasal strips, they actually work….. Well some of them.

Breathe Right nose strips work like a charm. You can also get a dehumidifier in your room. Also, try Vicks vapor rub on your chest.
A mouth piece are normally used for those with sleep apnea (those who stop breathing while they sleep). If the snoring interrupts your amount of sleep, then contact your doctor.
I use a thing called Slumber Guard that holds your lower jaw forward. It actually works.
Nasal strips, and all the other stuff was just a waste of my money.
