I was told this is sleep apnea. How will this affect my baby, i’m 4 weeks pregnant.
I am calling the doctor tomorrow.
Also I haven’t always snored, that’s how I pretty much knew I was pregnant because the same thing happened last time when I was pregnant minus the stop breathing and gasping for air part.

boyfriend snores. Have tried Breathe Right strips. Dont work. I roll him over on his side constantly thru the night but he snores so loud and falls asleep so quickly that I can never fall asleep before he starts snoring again. Sleep on the couch alot.
Please help with any other products that have drastically changed your / your significant other’s snoring habits. And please dont respond with "go to the doctor". He’s a man that the last time he was at the dr was when he was 10. Other than that, he wont go.
Products, constructive thinking maybe????
thanks!

My hubbys is 35 and im 24 for the last 5 and a bit yrs I have been wearing earplugs everynight cause of my hubbys really bad snoring problem. We have a 2 1/2yr old and I am so frightend that I cant hear her so I have a really good monitor in her room and turn my part up really loud just to hear her. I now have a 1 month old and I am now sleeping in her room till he does something about his snoring. He has been to many sleep clinics and they say he has sleep apnoea and he needs to where a mouth guard but I think they were wrong because he cant breath through his mouth so what would be the point of that. Anyway my friend had the same problem and she had her Adenoide and tonsils removed and now doesnt snore. Q is how much does it cost and how can we go about getting it done for him. Cause I dont want our relationship to fall apart cause of it, I mean 5yrs is enough for me I cant tell you how many times I had infected ears cause it.
we have tryed the strips theyt dont work, his doctor gave him spray and that didnt work, he sleeps on his side all the time cause i tell him to roll over and that doesn’t work. a CRAP thing cant afford it.

I recently began treatment for sleep apnea with a custom-fitted oral appliance – a mouth piece that I wear at night to pull my jaw forward. This has done an excellent job in preventing snoring, but has altered my bite. My dentist was very concerned by this, but the doctor that fitted the device (also a dentist) indicated that a change in bite is not serious – nothing more than an annoyance. The change in bite does not bother me, but I am afraid it will cause damage to my teeth down the road. Is this something that I should be concerened about? Do I need to get the bite corrected? I’m kind of in a bad situation where I have to choose between the effective treatment for sleep apnea, and the bite problem.

OK…my husband is epileptic and I am trained in first aid. I was at Costco today and some man had a grand mal seizure in the middle of of one of the isles. He did not hit his head, as his son caught him and laid him down gently. I tried to tell all the gawkers that all they had to do while waiting for the paramedics to get there was to turn him on his side in the recovery position. SOme old german lady ( a stranger to the victim) kept buggin everybody about why they did not shove something in his mouth so he did not swallow his tongue. And everyone was freaked out when he stopped thrashing and started "snoring" for lack of a better word. They insisted that he needed oxygen ( none was available anyway).
My question is for those with training, not medical wannabees…other than turning the victim on his side and keeping him from hurting himself on foriegn objects, what should be done? my training is to call for help and just stay with the victim until medical help arrives.
he was turning a really ugly shade of purple, but I figured the snoring was his way of clearing his airway. My husband occasionally does the "snore" in the postictal state, so I knew that it was normal. By the time the paramedics got there he was breathing and looking pink.
…a personal friend : I can see why you are a FORMER rescue worker. How the heck are you supposed to turn someone on thier belly while they are jerking thier head AND with arms and legs jerking? And why the hell does he need a blanket? he was seizing, not suffering from hypothermia. answers like yours are why I specifically said "no medical wannabes"
